V-ROX announces participants of the festival: Love Psychedelico (Japan) first time in Russia

Organizing Committee of V-ROX 2015 starts to announce the participants of the festival, who will perform in Vladivostok on August 28-30th. One of the most famous Japanese bands «Love Psychedelico» will come to Vladivostok for the first time. In Japan fans sweetly call them Delico. Through 15 years of playing the musicians proved their cult status not only at home in Japan but also in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Asian countries, and the United States.

Love Psychedelico was formed in 1997 by a singer Kumi and a guitarist Naoki, when they were studying at the University of Tokyo. Their first album «The Greatest Hits» (2001) has sold over two million copies. This hard-working Japanese managed to create an original sound world, combining late 60s rock stlyle and modern digital sound. Love Psychedelico themselves say that The Beatles and Led Zeppelin influenced them a lot. However, Kumi’s outstanding performance style, the lyrics with mixture of Japanese and English, unforgettable guitar riffs – all made Delico one of the most unique and global Japanese bands. Vladivostok will see and hear them first and only in Russia in August 2015 at V-ROX!

Ilya Lagutenko: «We are grateful to the group for the decision to end their anniversary tour “15” in Vladivostok. We all thought it was a good opportunity to open a new page in the history of relations between talented and popular Japanese musicians and their Russian neighbors audience. I will entrust you one big secret: the group will arrive in Vladivostok with a legendary drummer and singer Yukihiro Takahashi, who founded Yellow Magic Orchestra with Ruichi Sakamoto in the 70s. The band considered a pioneer of techno music, along with Kraftwerk. This unique Yukihiro’s approach to mixing live and electronic instruments still has not been surpassed. He influenced European electro-wave in ’80s, including bands like Depeche Mode, Ultravox, Art of Noise, and many others. I can imagine how many fans across Russia go green with envy about fans in the Far East, who will finally see and hear the real legend of the contemporary music world.»
