Nisvanis

Nisvanis is a Mongolian first alternative rock band formed in 1996, consisted of vocalist, lead guitarist and leader of band Enkh-Amgalan Lonjid, bassist Darkhanbat Darkhaa, drummer Anar Altangerel and solo guitarist Khosbayar Sergelen.

Before forming Nisvanis, Enkh-Amgalan and Darkhanbat had been formed pop rock band name “Yesterday & Today” while they were studying at College of Music Master in 1993.

In October 1995, they met modernist poeter Galsansukh (first manager of the band). He suggested to work with him, after that they made line-up changes, changed their genre and changed their name to NISVANIS, which was picked from Mongolian movie named “Ard Ayush”.

In 9th of April 1996, they started to play Grunge Rock with their current name NISVANIS. NISVANIS is successfully releasing their music to present and to encourage other rock bands in Mongolia. In 2016, they will celebrate their 20th anniversary.
