Dresden Wolves

Dresden Wolves is a mexican post-punk duo from Mexico city., the duo consists of Emmanuel Rapeta Garcia ( Drumms-vocals) and Oscar Manuel López Herrera (Bass). Since the beginning we were focus on one type of music; that was make music with a lot of distortion but also make riffs that make you move like crazy. Despite we are just two, we sound like we are 3 or 4 guys playing like a Lion roaring at your face.

We started playing in August 2013, we had one show coming (Festival De Las Artes y Culturas CERVANTINO) at the end of August and we had 3 songs, we perfomed August 25 2013 with only three songs despite the other 4 bands perfomed 40 min sets and we only 10 minutes, we changed the our perspective whether if want to continue or stop doing the band…. but after we finished playing, we got a lot of flattery, forth that moment we decided to never stop playing together. As time passed our sound grew and got stronger, mixing a lot of distortion pedals, fuzz pedals, delay pedals, etc. combine any pedal, any types of amps or instruments, that´s how we got our own sound.

When 2014 arrived we just had about 10 gigs in the main capital (Distrito Federal) in 5 months, it wasn´t enough for us,we wanted more!!! so, we decided to travel all across Mexico city just like: Monterrey, San luís Potosi, Guadalajara, Tijuana, Aguascalientes, Puebla, Hidalgo, Cuernavaca, Veracruz, Guanajuato, Campeche, Pachuca, Chihuahua, Nayarit, Toluca, just to mention a few states. In 2015 since January started we never stop playing, we perfomed every week, we got to played in the famous venues here in Mexico city like: Imperial, Caradura, Pasagüero, Gato Calvera, Real Under, Foro 246, Centro Cultural España, just to mention some, also we´ve shared stage with great bands just like: Los Viejos, Cardiel, Tormentas, Bar de monjas, Smoke Sellers(ARG), Candy, Los Abominables, Camilo VII, Glass Spells(USA), 60 Tigres, Desacato civil(BRA), Boring Assholes(BRA), Krokodil(BRA), Gnarley Davidson(USA), Bloody Diamonds(CAN), The Migthbins(CAN).

We have played in festivals like: Festival Cervantino 2013, Festival Ajusco 2015, Festival Kafkiano 2015, Festival Chernobyl 2015, El Regreso del Coco 2015. We recorded our first EP on June 2015 and it´s formed of 5 songs we launched it on June 21 2015 and it´s called Dresden Wolves E.P. Vol 1.
